The 2009 – 2010 playoffs saw the Vikings and Saints meet in the NFC Championship game. After Favre threw an interception on the final play of the game, many questioned whether he would return or not. The majority of us knew that he could not retire, knowing that he in essence gave the Super Bowl to the New Orleans Saints. Conversely, the Saints won their first ever Super Bowl title, after defeating both the Vikings and Colts last February. The Saints led by Drew Brees and his John Wayne like arm, return for the 2010 season with roughly the same team as the Super Bowl Championship team of 2010. Although it is only week one of the 2010 season, the Vikings vs. Saints game could be the most defining game of the season for both squads. On the one hand, the Minnesota Vikings will be looking for some revenge against their NFC rivals. Yet on the other hand, no Super Bowl defending champion, ever wants to lose their opening game and show vulnerability. With the way the Saints have played not only last season, but in the seasons leading up to it, fans and experts alike can just tell the team has dynasty in the making written all over it.
